Top-to-Bottom Interior Paint Job Performed by CraftPro before New Carpet Is Installed Makes this Madison NJ Home Look brand New for its New Owners
This newly-purchased Madison, NJ home needed top to bottom refreshing and renewal before the move-in. The renovations included interior painting and new carpet installation. CraftPro Contracting’s professional house painters performed the full interior paint job and met the firm deadline to have the painting completed before the carpet was installed. The first floor foyer and the “Great-Room” – an expansive open-concept living-dining room with chair-rail molding and two-tone accent walls – were painted last (plus the basement bathroom). First we completed the painting of the stairway and the upstairs hallways and bedrooms where new carpeting was installed afterwards. The entire painting of this Madison, NJ home included ceilings, walls, crown-molding, doors, trim, base-molding, and closets. See the paint products, colors and our meticulous painting techniques below. We met the deadline while still providing the high-end painting that CraftPro is known for, and it’s all covered under a comprehensive five-year warranty.
High-End Painting Performed Within a Short Time-Frame: Deadline Met
Top-Shelf Paints & Meticulous Painting Techniques Lead to a Successful Renovation and a Deadline Met in Madison, NJ
This newly-purchased home in Madison, NJ (07940) needed a top-to-bottom refreshing for the new owners. To turn the house into a home, the entire home was to be painted and new carpeting installed. The painting involved a firm deadline since the carpet installation was already scheduled, and it’s always best to paint before new flooring is installed. The result is a “like-new” home ready to be moved into.

We (CraftPro Contracting, located in Morristown, NJ) were hired to meet the deadline for the painting part of this home’s renovation. The “hurry-up” nature of this job did not require a sacrifice in quality. We don’t do that. Since the home was not being lived in we were able to work late into the night in order to provide the high-end painting service that we are known for. We used coarse sandpaper to smooth the walls and woodwork. We spackled the wall imperfections after removing hooks and nails in order to achieve a smooth finish on the walls. We caulked all the seams and corners in the trim, molding, etc. Most painting contractors only caulk where there are gaps, but we perform beautiful and durable paint jobs that are covered under warranty for five years. Caulking every single seam not only closes existing gaps and provides for straighter paint lines, but it protects against future cracks and splits. The spackle was sanded smooth and – along with all the marks, smudges and other wall stains – was primed with a high-build sealing/bonding primer.
Painting: Color Selections & Finishes
The colors were selected by the homeowner with the help of her friend, an interior designer. All the paint colors are from Benjamin Moore’s collections: their Historical Colors, Affinity Colors, Color Preview and their Off-White Color catalogue. To perform the painting we used premium, top-shelf B.M.”Aura” acrylic latex paint.”Super White” in a semi-gloss finish was used on the trim, doors and the rest of the woodwork. Flat white ceiling paint was used throughout the home, and all the wall painting was done in a Matte finish – including the basement bathroom where we used Benjamin Moore’s “Aura: Bath & Spa”, which is formulated with a built-in mildicide.
