Custom Kitchen Remodel in Northern New Jersey. Ceiling Framing and Drywall, Refinishing and Painting Wood Panels, Crown-Molding, Base-Molding, and More
Outdated wood veneer paneling on the walls was too dark. A dingy and faded suspended ceiling was concealing a decades-old and completely ruined lath-and-plaster ceiling beneath it, which had bowed and deteriorated over time. There was no trim anywhere in the kitchen, and a single commercial-style fluorescent light provided inadequate lighting to many areas. These homeowners wanted an affordable yet transformative kitchen remodel.
Kitchen Remodel Process:
The wood paneling was refinished by killing and sealing the stain and priming it with a polyurethane bonding primer. A new drywall ceiling was installed, taped and floated; custom crown molding and colonial base-molding was installed throughout the kitchen. Fresh paint on the new walls, ceiling and woodwork brightened the room, making this kitchen look brand new. Four recessed lighting high-hats were installed by the electrician and strategically placed over important kitchen areas (stove, table, sink, etc), per the homeowners’ directions. New outlets and switch-plates, along with some other small enhancements, completed this custom kitchen renovation. This happy homeowner provided us an excellent testimonial for our work on this kitchen remodel.

Always punctual, considerate of homeowners, efficient, flexible, and hardworking. Each step of the process was explained to us in detail and we were encouraged to ask questions as things progressed. Practical suggestions were given based on technical knowledge but we always felt like we had the final say as homeowners, which is nice (some will dominate conversations and leave little room for the client’s opinion– not the case here). CraftPro Contracting helped us to envision what was possible for our kitchen, arguably the most important room in the house, while respecting both our budget and our time. We could not be happier with the finished product and enthusiastically recommend CraftPro Contracting.” author=”Susan V. Suarez” user_review=”5″ min_review=”0″ max_review=”5″ ]
